AIA Honolulu, the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects (a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization), is seeking a full-time team member to manage and oversee the Center for Architecture and help execute programs and events for AIA Honolulu’s membership. We offer a variety of services to our members: Continuing education, leadership development, networking, government advocacy, collaborations with the design and construction industries, and student and public outreach. We hold a wide variety of events both on and off site. To support our diverse architecture community, each member of our small team wears many hats. Events & Programming • Managing event space rentals at the Center for Architecture, including staffing the center to assist rental clients with technology & equipment needs • Support committees with in-office events, including ordering food & supplies, working with vendors, set up, greeting guests, preparing sign-in sheets, and assisting with light clean-up • Provide technical and scheduling support for AIA Honolulu’s virtual events • Support occasional out of office and after hours events hosted at the Center for Architecture or nearby venues • Assist with the coordination of AIA Honolulu’s signature events throughout the year, such as Design Awards, Annual Meeting, and CANstruction
