Assistant Creative Director - Weddings & Events

The Assistant Creative Director supports the Creative Director in all aspects of special event planning and implementation from initial consultation through the event date. The Assistant Creative Director engages with customers/event planners/venue personnel to create and implement décor and flowers arrangements for special events. Sales Support • Assist Creative Director with marketing special event services to customers/event planners • Assist Creative Director in meeting with customers to identify special event needs and requirements • Assist Creative Director to create vision to meet customer needs and desires • Create and implement in-house displays for showroom • Travel to local venues to understand layouts and possibilities for customers and to network with venue personnel and event planners • Represent company at industry-related networking events • Stay abreast of current and future industry design trends • Ensure event budgets and company profit margins are achieved through proper pricing strategy • Using event planning software, assist Creative Director in drafting customer proposals and providing revisions to proposals Event Planning • Correspond with customers and vendors on a daily basis over the phone and via email • Assist Creative Director in managing all details for customer events ensuring customer expectations are met, if not exceeded • Ensure vendors are properly prepared to support event • Work with Creative Director to design, refurbish, construct, or purchase event décor structures • Meet with floral designers and other team members to review proposals and customer specifications • Using event planning software, assist Creative Director in: Managing hardgood inventory and event pull list and Managing perishable inventory for events Certificates, Licenses, Registrations • Active, current and valid driver’s license and at least 21 years of age • Three year and five year driving histories must meet company requirements • Proof of insurance required
