Leading Boston Catering Company is looking to fill the Important Position of

Director of Events

Responsibilities Include

The Service / Event Manager directs all catering operations of Corporate and Social Events*
Development of event equipment needs and formatting of event pack list* *
Insures company standards, and local, state and national regulations are in line.* *
Responsible for quality guest service, meeting/exceeding guest expectations,* *
Short and long term planning of all Corporate and Social Catering Events operations, staffing and decor designs.* *
Recommends the events labor plan, decor plans and budgets from Formal Weddings, Seated Dinners, and Receptions to Casual Barbecues.* *
This position directly manages assigned staff and indirectly manages all subordinates.* *
Articulates Company goals to the staff.* *
Demonstrates commitment to these goals through work ethic, integrity and respect for the Company and associates.* *
Development and executing staff training programs.* *
Ability to execute daily deliveries when needed
Works closely with the culinary team and sales team to continually improve the quality, efficiency and profitability of our events* *
Monitor and maintain and purchase event small wares, décor and equipment.* *
Impresses customers and guests with quality and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner.* *
Ability to assess customer needs understands current market dynamics and prepares presentations/proposals tailored for individual customers design needs.* *
Remain positive, resourceful and possess the ability to improvise while working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure.* *
The ability to effectively and efficiently schedule, manage and delegate work.* *
Appropriately and effectively interview, hire, motivate, develop, monitor and address staff performance matters.* *
Possess professionalism, diplomacy and confidentiality.* *
Computer proficiency in Microsoft office along with company software* *

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
