Assistant Event Coordinator

• Responsibilities and Duties: • Maintain client relationships • Perform administrative responsibilities including answering phones, replying to emails in a timely manner, managing event calendar, filing, mail, and general office organization • Create event spreadsheets for various purposes as needed • Format menus and proposals • Assist in creating and distributing marketing materials • Social Media content creating, posting and maintaining • Assist with event preparation duties such as reviewing rental items, coordinating event staff, and communicating with outside vendors such as DJ’s, photographers, florists & bakeries • Supervising and assisting with wedding set-up, including linens, china, glassware, flatware, and silver according to event specifications. • Supervising event service staff, and assisting with training and development • Perform occasional personal assistant duties • Assist with special projects as assigned • Qualifications and Requirements: • Driver’s License and reliable form of transportation • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite • Flexible schedule • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities • 3-5 years catering experience • Knowledge of Caterease software preferred • Previous event/catering or restaurant experience preferred • Knowledge of food, wine, and spirits a plus • Assisting in service of the event as necessary. • Availability to work a varied schedule, including weeknights and weekends. • Job Type: Full-time • Schedule: • Holidays • Monday to Friday • Weekend availability • Education: • Hospitality or Marketing Degree (Preferred) • Work Location: In person • This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Event Coordinator to join our team. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
