Assistant Wedding and Event Manager

Job Overview

RYE Venue Management manages wedding and event spaces in West Michigan and is looking for dependable, hardworking team players as we approach our summer/fall event season. This is very much a hands-on role that combines venue and bar support with guest interaction. We offer flexible scheduling but need help primarily on Friday and Saturday nights, with some weekday opportunities available as well.This position is great for someone who has a passion for the hospitality industry and loves interacting directly with guests!

Event Responsibilities

Stock the bar for service (glassware, ice, moving kegs, restocking necessary items)
Assist bartenders as needed.
Assist the Event Manager to ensure clients and vendors are set up for successful event execution.
Welcome and support clients, guests, and vendors.
Set up and tear down tables, chairs, and event equipment.
Keep event spaces clean, safe, and organized.
Share tips with the team.

Requirements

Weekend availability. Possibility for weekday shifts preferred.
Ability to stay active on your feet.
Team-oriented, reliable, and willing to hustle.
Friendly and welcoming to guests.
Interest in hospitality and guest service
May be required to lift 15-20 Ibs.
