Banquet and Event Manager - Luxury Hotel Group

About the Role A prestigious luxury hotel group in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Banquet and Event Manager to oversee all aspects of banquet and event execution. Key Responsibilities Manage all phases of banquet and event planning, execution, and client liaison. Conduct detailed client consultations to understand their needs, vision, and budget for events. Develop customized event proposals, menus, and floor plans in collaboration with culinary and sales teams. Oversee and coordinate with internal departments (culinary, service staff, AV, housekeeping) and external vendors to ensure flawless event execution. Supervise banquet staff during events, ensuring impeccable service standards and guest satisfaction. Maintain high standards of food and beverage presentation and quality. Manage event timelines and logistics to ensure smooth and efficient operation. Address and resolve any client or event-related issues promptly and professionally. Conduct post-event follow-ups and debriefs to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Manage banquet budgets and ensure profitability for all events. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in event management and hospitality. Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations. Requirements Minimum of 4 years of experience in banquet or event management within the hotel or luxury catering industry. Proven track record of successfully planning and executing a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and galas. Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, menu planning, and service standards. Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-service skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules in Philadelphia . Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or a related field is preferred. A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
