JOB PURPOSE: The Service Captain serves as a team lead for the banquet service staff to ensure high-quality execution of large receptions and events involving food service; he or she also serves as a liaison between the banquet service staff and the kitchen staff and otherwise assists in management operations. Serve plated dinners to guests and respond to requests for beverages, appetizers and other needs. Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Clean up venue after event ends and assist with inventory, food storage and other closeout tasks.
