Banquet Coordinator

This coordinator is solely responsible for planning and executing non-wedding related events, with 100 guests or less. This position will work in tandem with the Event Coordinators to plan and execute events with higher guest counts and weddings when These events include but are not limited to luncheons, golf tournaments, member events, baby showers, birthday parties, celebrations of life, etc. Meeting with and contacting clients to plan their event beginning to endCreating timeline & LayoutProviding guidance and expertise to the client with Décor, and Menu & Bar SelectionsCreating fun & engaging member eventsWorking with chef to plan and execute a menuWorking with marketing to advertise eventsCollecting RSVPs, emailing with guests as needed, and taking paymentsManaging Setup of EventsRunning the floor and coordinating food & beverage service by liaising with the kitchen and service staffTending to guests’ requests, questions and complaintsBridal Suite Attendant, Bartender, Server when neededAssisting Event Coordinators with the setting up of weddings and large eventsWorking alongside the Banquet Captain in any training, including customer service, and serving etiquette, etc. High School Diploma or GEDA degree in hospitality management or public relations is preferredAt minimum of 3 years’ experience as a banquet captain or similarExcellent leadership abilities and the ability to manage many staff membersGreat time management and multitasking abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to provide an excellent level of customer service, even in stressful situationsPhysically fir with good stamina for physical tasks such as moving and lifting furniture and standing for long periods of timeWillingness to work long hours, irregular shifts, and on weekends and holidays
