Banquet Event Planning Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, event planning, or a related field, and be able to provide exceptional support to our Sales Director. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Sales Director in planning and coordinating weddings and events, including client communication, menu planning, and scheduling follow-up appointments - Use databases to create and distribute Banquet Event Orders and reports - Ensure that all communications with clients are responded to promptly - Attend weekly Banquet Event Order meetings, take notes, and update Banquet Event Orders as needed - Collaborate with Catering staff to ensure information on Banquet Event Orders is updated and all details are carried out as contracted - Manage invoices and track payments - Coordinate with vendors and provide day-of operations support and backup Requirements: - 2+ years of experience in a related field, preferably in sales or event planning - Strong organizational and time management skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel - Familiarity with catering software and micros an asset About Us: Lessing's Hospitality Group is a leading provider of hospitality services, offering a range of career opportunities for professionals who share our commitment to exceptional customer service and memorable experiences.
