Banquet Servers & Captains

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting in the directing of other team members, communicating with event manager & kitchen, as well as the general flow of serviceAssist the Event Manager in set-up planning, inventories, & general facility upkeepOversee, with the direction of your manager, the set up for events by leading the team in arranging tables, chairs, table linens, table settings, and décor to ensure the event space is presented according to specifications.Greet guests warmly and assist them with any initial inquiries.Serve all food and beverages to guests efficiently and accurately, following proper service etiquette.Aim forReview banquet event order, attend and sometimes lead staff briefing, maintaining a knowledge of the event specifications to offer relevant & knowledgeable service at the eventsEnsure that any guests' dietary restrictions and allergies are accounted for and communicatedMonitor tables and guests' needs throughout service, providing prompt and attentive service to ensure guest satisfaction.Clear tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware, and silverware.Carrying banquet trays to effectively serve & clear guestsAssist in the breakdown of the event, including cleaning tables, returning equipment to designated areas, and ensuring the venue is left clean and organized.Handle guest queries and concerns professionally and courteouslyWork well with others & collaborate with other team members to facilitate a smooth flow of service and a positive guest experience.Always arrive in proper uniform, ready to work, with a can-do attitudeQualifications:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detailFlexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly as needed.Ability to lift and carry items such as small pieces of furniture, trays of dishes, and glassware safely and comfortably.Previous experience in a customer service role is an advantage but not necessary.Banquet Captains must have prior banquet service experience and/or supervisory experience in customer service related field & willingness to learn!A great opportunity to advance into event management/coordination!

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
