Banquet/Event Manager

A well-established, full-service hospitality organization in the Allentown, PA area is seeking an experienced and service-driven Events Manager to join its team. The organization offers a wide range of amenities including dining, recreational activities, and a robust calendar of social and private events. Multiple event spaces accommodate both intimate gatherings and large-scale functions, including weddings, outings, and year-round events.

The Events Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients and guests throughout the event lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience. This role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of event execution, fostering strong relationships, and leading a team dedicated to exceptional service and repeat business.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the main point of contact for all events, ensuring plans are executed flawlessly and guest satisfaction is achieved
Support ongoing event and banquet sales efforts by promoting available services and offerings
Assist in the planning and execution of all events
Coordinate menus, event details, and room diagrams for functions
Develop detailed event execution plans and communicate effectively across departments
Meet regularly with leadership to review upcoming events
Track event changes and communicate updates impacting staffing and setup
Collaborate with culinary leadership on menu updates to reflect trends and client preferences
Train and lead event service staff to maintain high service standards
Develop and manage the annual budget in coordination with senior leadership

Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of event management experience with supervisory responsibilities
Hospitality or events experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Professional, positive, and service-oriented demeanor
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with audio/visual equipment
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs
