This role provides a unique opportunity to practice business as ministry—faithfully weaving together professional excellence with loving neighbors well.Job Description This is not a paid position and requires a single coordinator or a coordinator team of two adults (spouse or roommate of the same gender) to live onsite at the community. The weekly time commitment for an onsite coordinator at this community is 8 hours. Onsite coordinators are not paid, but they do receive a 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment at a reduced rate.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlan and host high-quality monthly events for residents with the purpose of caring for and connecting residents to one another, onsite staff, and local services or businessesProvide a consistent, caring presence for residents and property staff with the support of residents, volunteers, and community partnersEnhance the community’s online reputation by inviting residents to share their experiencesCreate marketing materials for activities, including monthly calendars, event flyers, and social media postsManage the event budget and related processesPrepare and submit monthly summaries and reportsMeet regularly with onsite staff and the Program Director for planning, training, and developmentRecruit, engage, and coordinate volunteers, vendors, and community partners to maximize impactRequired Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or olderLegally eligible to work in the United StatesBasic fluency in English, including the ability to create marketing materials and complete required reportsPossess a valid driver’s license, current liability insurance, and reliable transportation for duties such as shopping for events and meeting vendorsPhysically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and lift up to 25 poundsAvailability to commit weekly hours, primarily during evenings and weekends when residents are most often homeAbility to commit to the minimum term of service at the assigned apartment communityPreferred Qualifications Previous experience planning or coordinating eventsExperience working within a budgetFamiliarity with social media platforms and basic marketing practicesAn existing network of potential volunteers, vendors, or community partnersBenefitsFlexible scheduleReferral programApplication QuestionsDescribe why now is a good time of life to begin a season of serving as an Event/Ministry Coordinator with Apartment Life.Do you attend a local church?
