General Summary

This position is responsible for managing the planning, coordination, and execution of meetings and events across Unum campuses. It ensures effective use of space and resources, partners with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and delivers a high-quality, service-oriented experience for all campus meetings and events. It also leads process improvement efforts, defines and implements service standards, and supports change management to drive consistency, adoption, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Manage the scheduling of campus conference rooms, maximize space utilization, and effectively allocate resources.Resolve scheduling conflicts, service issues, and system outagesManage the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of meeting and event systems (including selecting and evaluating event software applications)Develop and implement hospitality processes with a lens of continuous improvement.Lead effective change management to support adoption, alignment, and successful implementation across the organization.Create and implement a streamlined, “one-stop-shop” meeting and event experienceDefine service standards, guidelines, and processes related to HospitalityProvide logistical coordination for onsite meetings, employee programs, and campus eventsCoordinates event setup, execution, and day-of onsite experience – partnering closely with catering, facilities, and AV.Identify operational challenges, develop solutions, and implement improvements to drive excellenceSolicit feedback and identify trends to enhance and improve meeting and event experiencesDeliver a high-quality, service-oriented experience for all campus meetings and eventsOccasional support outside standard business hours for eventsManage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentCollaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless executionMaintain strong attention to detail across scheduling, logistics, and operationsAdapt to evolving tools, processes, and business needsCommitted to continuous improvement and innovation in campus hospitality services

Job Specifications Required

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in hospitality, business, communications, or related field4+ years in hospitality or related fieldExperience in administrative, scheduling, or operational supportProficiency in Microsoft 365 toolsStrong communication skills and customer-service mindsetExcellent organizational, time management, logistical planning, and decision-making skillsAbility to manage multiple projects, tasks, and priorities in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and within set time frames.Ability to communicate with individuals effectively and professionally at all levels of the companyStrong project management, analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated initiative, strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communications.Works independently with minimal supervisionHigh visibility/professionalism – strong ability to relate and work with a variety of management levelsTravel required to support meeting and event development and execution

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

$53,300.00-$100,700.00

Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not.
