Catering Chef Job Description Responsibilities: • Design menus that meet the expectations and preferences of clients • Prepare and cook meals at events, ensuring that they are served at the appropriate temperature and in a timely manner • Work with the catering team to ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest quality standards • Manage inventory and ensure that all ingredients are fresh and available for use • Coordinate with event planners and managers to ensure that all catering needs are met • Train and supervise catering staff, ensuring that they follow food safety guidelines and procedures • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality • Manage kitchen staff, assigning duties and providing training as needed • Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage food cost • Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and in good working order • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines Requirements: • Proven experience as a catering chef or sous chef • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety guidelines • Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes accurately • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time • 5 year clean driving record Qualifications • Culinary school graduate with a degree in Culinary Arts or related field • 5+ years of experience in a high-volume catering or food service environment • Proven ability to design and execute menus for 200+ guests • Ability to manage multiple kitchen staff members and provide training as needed • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Creative problem solver with attention to detail Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
