Catering Event Coordinator

Our client, a premier event catering service, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Catering Event Coordinator to manage and execute seamless culinary experiences. This role involves direct client interaction, on-site event supervision, and meticulous planning to ensure every detail of a catered event meets and exceeds expectations. The ideal candidate is passionate about food and hospitality, possesses exceptional organizational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
Consult with clients to understand their event needs, preferences, and budget. Develop customized menu proposals and event layouts. Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including staffing, equipment rental, and vendor management. Oversee on-site event execution, ensuring smooth service flow and client satisfaction. Manage inventory and ordering of food, beverages, and supplies. Conduct pre-event briefings with the catering team to ensure clear communication of roles and responsibilities. Handle any issues or challenges that arise during events promptly and professionally. Maintain accurate event records, including contracts, invoices, and client communications. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure food quality and presentation standards are met. Follow all health and safety regulations for food handling and service.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in event planning, catering, or hospitality management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food and beverage service standards. Proficiency with event management software or similar tools is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules. A proactive approach to problem-solving. A passion for creating memorable event experiences. High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or associate's degree preferred.
