Catering & Events Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Catering & Events Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of exceptional events across our venue. Responsibilities
• Coordinate all facets of event planning from initial inquiry to final execution, including venue setup, catering arrangements, and guest services.
• Negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms while ensuring quality standards are met.
• Develop comprehensive event marketing strategies to promote upcoming events and maximize attendance through various channels.
• Upsell additional services such as premium catering options, event packages, or special amenities to enhance guest experience and revenue.
• Oversee budgeting processes for each event, ensuring cost control and profitability are maintained without compromising quality.
• Manage on-site event operations, supervising staff to deliver seamless service and troubleshoot any issues promptly.
• Build strong relationships with clients through exceptional customer service, clear communication, and personalized attention to detail.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns that highlight our venue’s unique offerings.
• Maintain thorough documentation of contracts, event details, and client preferences for future reference and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining a welcoming environment for all guests.

Skills
• Proven experience in event management within hospitality settings such as restaurants, hotels, or banquet facilities.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure contracts and vendor agreements effectively.
• Expertise in marketing strategies specific to event promotion and guest engagement.
• Ability to upsell services confidently while aligning with client needs and preferences.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, staff, and internal teams.
• Sound knowledge of budgeting principles to maximize profitability on each event.
• Extensive banquet experience combined with a background in catering or restaurant operations is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with contracts, legal considerations in event planning, and hospitality industry standards.
• Strong customer service orientation coupled with hospitality experience in hotel or fundraising environments enhances success in this role. Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
