The Catering & Events Manager's main responsibility will be to generate special event & corporate catering revenue through sales and marketing efforts. • Responsible for selling, coordinating, and aiding in the execution of on & off site catering events • Participate in industry events, networking, and marketing activities to promote the restaurant's catering and event services and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices. • Maintain & update minimum spends quarterly • Oversee the maintaining of Catering Socials, Website & Google Page with Marketing Team • Assist Marketing Team with Public & Networking Events • Lead, mentor, and train the catering and events team to achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction goals. This is an amazing position for anyone with restaurant or catering company experience as an event manager or coordinator, catering sales coordinator, catering sales manager, or director of sales. Experience in Events Planning is a must Extraordinary networking and customer relationship building skills and good knowledge of the local market Computer savvy and experienced with various software systems, such as Triple Seat, Monday.com or other CRMsCreativity and passion are essential Professional demeanor, dress and communications Ability to function as part of a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to interact respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds, perspectives and cultures Ability to take initiative and work as a responsible, self-managed leader; Excellent planning, organizational and research skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities 2 year experience in catering/event sales 2 year experience in food and beverage
