• Experience with high volume event planning for events from 500 – 2000 guests. • Minimum of 2 years in a catering manager role • Two (2) years of experience in a high-volume catering venue • Ability to communicate effectively with other departments on behalf of the catering team • Must be able to take direction, perform essential functions and delegate responsibilities • Ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively with clients and planning team • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment • Knowledge of Underboeck and Visio a plus • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Dropbox, Google Sheets • Must be customer service oriented with the ability to communicate with employees, vendors, client representatives and guests in a positive and professional manner • Must have excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette • Must possess strong organizational skills • Willingness to work long hours and flexible shifts including mornings, nights, weekends, game days and holidays • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware and event space conversions • Requires occasional lifting of up to (25) pounds in weight (boxes & equipment), standing and/or walking for long periods at a time The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
