To proactively plan, coordinate, execute, assess and improve special events in Historic Downtown Wilson and the Center City in a positive manner in order to portray a positive image, increase attendance, broaden audiences/visitors, attract investment, and spur economic development. Assist in the development of partnerships for additional special events in the center city and downtown. • Initiate and foster communication and relationships with other City of Wilson departments and other organizations to collaborate and assist with events and coordinate goals and work plans. • Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers and successfully build ownership. The work may also be performed outdoors and occasionally in hot, cold or inclement weather
