Certification and Event Coordinator

Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Certification and Event Coordinator to lead the planning, coordination, promotion, and administration of certification programs, networking events, and educational events for our organization's members. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for education, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. As a vital member of the team, you will ensure seamless event operations while fostering a positive environment for participants, staff, and stakeholders. The coordinator works closely with the executive director to support the association's educational and membership goals. The coordinator will also have shared responsibilities for association marketing, social media posts, and newsletter publication.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and promote certification programs, meetings, and events
Manage all aspects of event and certification logistics, including registration, attendee communications, venues, lodging, food and beverage, sponsorships, signage, printed materials, and onsite event management
Create and maintain all certification and event databases
Prepare registration and sponsorship reports for invoicing and assist with budget tracking and other administrative functions
Provide administrative support to the executive director by assisting with board, committee, educational, advocacy, and membership initiatives
Serve as the primary point of contact for certification students, event attendees, and meeting sponsors
Provide input for newsletters and social media posts
Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and objectives of the association

Qualifications

Experience as an event coordinator or meeting planner
Excellent planning and time management skills
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and member services
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Constant Contact, and QuickBooks preferred
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff, Board members, committees, volunteers, and industry partners
A bachelor’s degree is not required but preferred

Working Conditions

The position may require overnight travel as needed to support certification classes, meetings, and other association functions

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
