The work involves implementation and enforcement of land use plans and regulations, including the Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance, and Subdivision Regulations. The Planner acts as technical advisor to the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Adjustment, and Historic Preservation Commission, as well as providing assistance on land development matters to professional land planners, engineers, surveyors, and citizens.
