Description

We are looking for a Cleaner to take care of our facilities and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.

Responsibilities

Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
Stock and maintain supply rooms
Follow all health and safety regulations
Assist with some cold-food related kitchen tasks such as putting away orders and cleaning food for prep
Setting up tables & chairs for events and restaurant needs
Setting tables

Skills

Proven working experience as a cleaner helpful but not required
Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies or willingness to learn
A keen eye for attention to details
Ability to work independently

As a banquet, catering and restaurant facility we rely on upholding high standards when it comes to keeping our establishment clean. Whether it is routine cleaning or deep-cleaning projects, we are seeking people who are looking to help us make each day our best yet.

Ideal candidates will be able to lift/push/pull 50 lbs. on occasion, routinely bend, stoop, squat and move at a brisk pace, and like working both independently as well as in a small group. Leadership opportunities available for those who qualify.

Some flexibility in hours once trained around business needs. Position will range from 15-35 hours a week depending on your availability, your requested hours, and business needs.

Shifts begin at 8:00 am with varying out times depending on what tasks needs to be completed each day. Typical ending hours are 1:00-3:00 p.m. with some flexibility for the right candidate.

Schedule:

Day shift
Holidays required (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day)

Responsibilities:

Perform general cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
Dust and polish furniture and fixtures
Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals in a safe manner

Qualifications:
Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred, but not required
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if necessary
Good communication skills to interact with team members and clients
