The South Alabama Land Trust (SALT) is seeking a Communications and Events Associate who will head up our work to spread the word about the need for land conservation and SALT’s work in protecting land, plan and deliver SALT fundraising and community outreach events, and bring to the table fresh ideas and innovative ways to promote SALT within the coastal Alabama region. ```Responsibilities:``` · Lead SALT’s two main fundraising events (Bald Eagle Bash and the Annual Coastal Alabama BirdFest), including planning, budgeting, delegating work to volunteers, collaboration with event partners and sponsors, volunteer coordination, leading event committees, ticket sales, promotional activities, trouble-shooting, and communications. · Lead the development of SALT’s biannual The SALT Line publication, including project management, editorial content, assignment of articles, design and layout, editing, and coordination with printer. · Lead SALT’s annual nature photography competition, including communications with potential participants. · Experience with InDesign, Canva, EventBrite, and WordPress.
