The City Club of Greenville is looking for a creative, detail-obsessed, and hospitality-driven Communications & Special Events Manager to bring energy, organization, and fresh ideas to our growing club. If you love blending storytelling + events + member engagement, this role is for you.

What You’ll Own

This is a highly visible role where you’ll lead both how we communicate and how we celebrate.

Communications (Tell the Story)

Own the voice of the Club across email, social media, and digital platforms
Create engaging newsletters, event promotions, and member communications
Keep our brand polished, consistent, and exciting
Manage the website and digital presence
Listen to member feedback and continuously improve how we connect

Special Events (Create the Magic)

Plan and execute everything from elegant dinners to themed parties, holiday events, and social experiences
Bring fresh, creative ideas that keep members excited and engaged
Coordinate with chefs, vendors, and partners to deliver seamless events
Own event details—from concept to execution (and everything in between)
Design the vibe: décor, flow, entertainment, and experience

Member Experience (Make It Personal)

Build relationships with members and understand what they love
Create moments that feel thoughtful, elevated, and memorable
Turn feedback into better experiences

Operations & Details (Keep It Tight)

Manage event and communications budgets
Negotiate with vendors and track expenses
Stay highly organized across multiple projects and timelines

What We’re Looking For

Experience in hospitality, events, marketing, or private clubs
A creative thinker who loves bringing ideas to life
Highly organized and detail-oriented (you love a checklist)
Strong communicator with a natural ability to connect with people
Comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Experience with social media, email marketing, and basic design tools
Someone who thrives both behind the scenes and in the spotlight

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
