The Community Activities Coordinator serves as the internal events planner and volunteer coordinator with the main focus of fostering a sense of community. This includes overseeing the successful operation of the Community Activities Committee and Resident Activity Groups. As liaison to the Community Activities Committee • Work with the committee to meet their objectives of fostering a sense of community by planning and conducting various activities throughout the year • Manage the budget of the committee, keeping leaders regularly apprised of the status of the committee’s budget and ways to maximize the available funds • Supervise volunteers and paid instructors while hosting activities • Market events to the community through various channels of media b. • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and relationship building skills to effectively work with a variety of people and personalities, including developing relationships with Board members, volunteers, and staff. • Hear and speak in order to use the telephone and communicate with people inside and outside the office • Sit at a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer • Apply manual dexterity and visual acuity for computer keyboarding and office equipment use and light maintenance • Perform physically demanding tasks including climbing stairs and lifting • Visual ability for computer use as well as assisting with events • Physical ability to move around the office area repeatedly throughout the day • Physical ability to move around Company grounds as needed to assist with events, emergencies and operations as neededCreate an account to see the full posting, access our search engine, and more.
