The Coordinator, Community Engagement and Events is responsible for the successful delivery of high quality, community enriching events programming to support the mission of the Graduate School. • Provide leadership and counsel on Graduate School units’ signature events; and assist events planning and support for recruitment process, and special seminars • Assist planning, coordination, and delivery of Graduate School retreats and symposia • Be creative in presenting new ideas for increasing community engagement. • Manage budgets related to community engagement and events planning: • Proactively develop and manage events budgets, and through attention to detail and follow through, track expenses to minimize unplanned expenditures and stay in budget for all events. • Strong interpersonal skills as demonstrated by ability to develop rapport, build strong relationships, and listen and negotiate effectively, and work with a wide range of stakeholders and personalities.
