Community Event Operations and Engagement Capacity Initiativ

The Event Operations and Community Engagement VISTA will strengthen the City of Lancaster's operational capacity to plan, coordinate, and sustain inclusive public events, neighborhood programming, and community engagement initiatives throughout the city. The role supports the City's efforts to expand equitable access to free family activities, cultural celebrations, public information campaigns, recreational opportunities, and neighborhood events that improve quality of life for low-income and underserved residents. The VISTA will enhance operational systems, event procedures, logistics, volunteer management, communication, and partnerships. By collaborating with City departments, community groups, schools, nonprofits, businesses, and neighborhood stakeholders, the VISTA will help reduce barriers to participation and expand access to public resources and engagement opportunities.
