The Community Event Specialist plays a crucial role in the planning, development, and execution of events and programs designed to engage the West Valley City community. • Coordinate with City departments, community groups, and other organizations to ensure seamless event execution, effective utilization of volunteers, and high standards of quality and engagement. • Develop schedules, write, and coordinate newsletters and calendars of events to keep the community informed and engaged. Education and/or Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Event Planning, Community Development, Public Administration, Public Relations, or related field, plus two (2) years directly related work experience.
