Community Events Coordinator

• Leads all aspects of city produced outdoor community events located at Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park and other large key events such as the Big Belmar Bash partnership in downtown Belmar. Responsibilities include development of an annual HCA community event plan that is inclusive and collaborative, start to finish event production management and troubleshooting, hiring, training, supervision and review of variable event assistants, communication of relevant event details with internal partners, serves as an advisor for other departments and city events, and assumes additional City-event responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge and experience in booking talent, contracting, tracking and reporting event attendee numbers, and solicitation and sponsorship ‘packaging’ related to events planning. • Ability to demonstrate good judgment / problem-solving skills in a professional, creative and timely manner. A combination of job-related education and experience demonstrating the equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities required to effectively perform the functions of this position may be considered, as determined by management.
