The Community & Events Manager is a high-energy multi-tasker with dynamic leadership ability who builds and nurtures partnerships and oversees forging community relationships with the aim of increasing inclusiveness as well as the DICK’S Sporting Goods presence in the community. This role is responsible for event planning, execution and evaluation of programs and marketing strategies in support of brand awareness, participation and revenue goals. This position is part of the Community Integration Team that supports our overall community goals in conjunction with DICK’S Sporting Goods overall corporate goals and brand plan. • In partnership with the Director/Leadership Team, will drive conversations and hold working sessions to develop a plan of attack for the week ahead; during leadership meetings, the leadership team is the nucleus to ensuring a results-driven direction has been set with clear goals and information is cascaded / flows in and out of the store in order for everyone to feel equipped with the knowledge to do their job appropriately • Increase revenue, traffic counts, customer conversion through strategic programming, which includes: in-store events utilizing batting cages, golf bays, outdoor field and rock wall, couponing/shop nights and promoting the additional services within House of Sport: glove steaming, racket stringing, skate sharpening, etc. The experience we’re looking for: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Communications, Marketing or related area • 3-5 years of Regional or Company Merchandiser or Marketing experience, in a retail environment prefered • Proven business leader mindset, routed in customer service • Excellent communication, project management, operations, and organizational skills • A proven track record of leading a customer-first team • Strong relationship building experience • A passion for relentless improvement, embracing and driving positive change • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed (including nights, weekends and travel throughout the territory
