Role Description The Conference and Events Services Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. Qualifications Experience in event planning and conference services, including coordinating logistics, timelines, and on-site operations.Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse clients, students, staff, and external partners.Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships responsibly.Proficiency with event management software, scheduling tools, and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).Ability to work on-site with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends based on event needs.Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, event management, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.Experience in a higher education or campus-based environment is preferred, along with a commitment to inclusive and equitable service.
