Conference Planning Manager (key words: Hospitality, Events) Salary: $50,000 - $59,999 + Benefits (Exempt) Schedule: This position is full-time at 40-hours per week. Location: Position is based in Albuquerque, NM; occasional travel may be required. Constellation Consulting is hiring a Conference Planning Manager to lead the strategic planning and execution of our large-scale professional conferences. This role is responsible for building event frameworks, managing complex budgets, and delivering premium hospitality experiences. We are looking for a results-oriented leader who can manage high-stakes vendor relationships and mentor junior staff to ensure project success. Reports to: Associate Director of Events Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end planning of conferences, from site selection and contract negotiation to on-site execution. Manage event budgets and hospitality operations, including room blocks and high-volume catering. Develop conference agendas and manage relationships with sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers. Mentor the Event Coordinator and coordinate with internal teams to drive marketing and attendee recruitment. Evaluate event impact through data-driven post-event analysis to guide future growth. Qualifications: Strong background in hospitality management and vendor negotiations. Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Excellent budget management skills and tech-savviness with event platforms. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally within the region.
