The Convention Center Sales and Event Manager oversees the sales, planning and execution of a wide variety of events and coordinates all room, food and beverage needs for all convention center events. • Assist Marketing Director in accomplishing sales and marketing goals of the Convention Center • Use Sales and Marketing principles to promote the facility • Advise, guide, counsel and meet with assigned clients as necessary regarding all event details and logistics • Gather and organize all information pertinent to the event such as schedule and meeting room requirements. Communicate and work with the internal departments to review event requirements and logistics. • Prepare and distribute to client and internal departments in a timely manner an event document and diagram detailing all information required for the execution of the event. • Must be present during the execution of the event and serve as Manager on duty as required • Perform related duties as assigned by GM and /or Director of Marketing and other duties as assigned.
