Corporate Events Planner

This role often involves direct communication with shareholders, managing logistics for in-person and virtual events, and coordinating with departments to deliver benefits. Logistics Management: Everything in an event, from the seating to the audio/visual equipment, must be set up in a practical and useful manner for the guests. Plan and oversee all details of events, including venue layout, catering, transportation, AV equipment, promotional materials, special needs requirements, printing, event security and decorations.Vendor and Talent Coordination: Research, select, and manage relationships with vendors (caterers, decorators) and talent (musicians, speakers).Budget Management: Maintain and adhere to event budgets, ensuring profitability or cost-efficiency.On-site Supervision: Manage onsite set-up, tear-down, and day-of operations to resolve issues and ensure smooth execution.Marketing and Promotion: Assist in creating marketing materials and tracking attendee RSVPs.Administration: Manage invitations, guest lists, event materials, volunteers and post-event surveys.Flexibility: Ability to work on weekends or evenings as required by the event schedule.Cultural Competence: A strong understanding of Alaska Native culture, values, and the ANCSA landscape is required.Maintain regular and punctual attendance.Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to work on weekends or evenings as required by the event schedule. Travel, up to 50% of the time, may be required.
