County Board - Special Events Manager

The County Board - Special Events Manager is a key member of the Resource Development team, reporting to the Senior Director, Regional Development, and working collaboratively with the Development/Operations Manager to lead the strategic development, execution, and optimization of a robust portfolio of fundraising events across nine counties. Project & Vendor Management • Lead end-to-end project management for all events, including timelines, task delegation, and stakeholder coordination • Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with venues, caterers, production teams, and other external vendors • Ensure all logistical elements are executed with precision, including permits, insurance, staffing, and contingency planning Experience • Minimum of 3–5 years of advanced experience in event planning or nonprofit development • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale events with complex logistics and high revenue targets • Experience working with volunteer boards and committees in a leadership capacity • Familiarity with Salesforce, Classy, or similar CRM and fundraising platforms • Non-profit experience and familiarity with the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs strongly preferred The information presented indicates the general nature and level of work expected of employees in this classification.
