Decor Producer

Shannon Leahy Events is seeking an experienced Decor Producer to join our team producing luxury weddings and events throughout California and beyond. California-based candidates are preferred, though we are open to exceptional candidates based elsewhere in the U.S.

This role serves as the bridge between planning, design, and floral, taking the creative vision for an event and managing the sourcing, budgeting, logistics, and production required to bring it to life. The Decor Producer works closely with our Planning Department and in-house Floral Department, as well as venues, caterers, rental companies, fabricators, and other production partners.

This role requires travel for up to 10 events per year, primarily across the U.S., with occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

Manage decor production from design development through installation and strikeSource and manage rentals, linens, tabletop, furniture, lighting, fabrication, signage, and specialty decorBuild and maintain decor budgets, proposals, orders, quantities, and production schedulesWork closely with the Planning Department to coordinate floor plans, catering, venue, and entertainment production requirements, timelines, load-in/out, and overall event logisticsWork closely with the Floral Department to coordinate floral, decor, rentals, vessels, structures, installations, and other shared design elementsTake ownership of the production and execution, working closely with the Design Team to develop and finalize details including paint colors, finishes, textiles, materials, rentals, and other decor elementsLead and manage the decor and production vendor team, providing clear direction, maintaining accountability, and ensuring all partners are aligned with the design vision, production plan, and SLE standardsManage vendor communication, proposals, samples, mock-ups, custom fabrication, and production deadlinesParticipate in site visits, design meetings, production calls, installations, and strikesAnticipate production challenges and troubleshoot details both in advance and on-siteEnsure the final installation reflects the approved creative vision and Shannon Leahy Events' standardsQualifications

5+ years of professional experience producing or planning luxury weddings requiredExcellent leadership skills and confidence managing a sophisticated vendor teamFamiliarity with California vendors and venues preferredExceptional organization, communication, and project-management skillsStrong design sensibility with an equally strong understanding of event logisticsComfortable managing budgets, proposals, floor plans, spreadsheets, quantities, and detailed ordersComfortable working with measurements, dimensions, and scale when reviewing floor plans, rentals, furniture, and custom fabricationsAbility to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and independently problem-solveWillingness and ability to travel and work event weekends as requiredAbout Shannon Leahy Events

Shannon Leahy Events is a full-service luxury wedding planning and design company producing approximately 15-20 highly personalized celebrations each year throughout destinations across the country and internationally. Our integrated approach brings together planning, creative direction, event production, and in-house floral design through Rosetree Design.

Position: Full-time, exempt Location: California preferred; U.S.-based candidates considered Travel: Approximately 7-10 events per year, primarily across the U.S., with occasional international travel
Salary: Starting at $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience
