The Development Events Specialist reports directly to the Director of Advancement, in addition to closely collaborating with parent volunteers. • Attend annual fundraising gala, managing volunteers and working closely with Director of Advancement to ensure a smooth and successful event. • Assist the Director of Advancement with additional donor stewardship efforts as requested. Minimum Requirements: • Three years experience in event coordination, project management, or related experience; • Requires high energy level with a positive, “can do” attitude; • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously; • Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with constituents in the public and those within the school’s community; • Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department. • Experience working directly with and/or managing volunteers
