Director, Event Marketing & Experiences (Remote)

Role summary

The Director of Events & Experiences will define and lead the next evolution of Slalom’s global events function — transforming it from a strong execution engine into a strategic, experience-led marketing capability that drives measurable business impact.

This leader will be responsible for setting a clear vision for event marketing and experiences, elevating how we engage clients and prospects, and ensuring our events are directly contributing to pipeline, brand differentiation, and growth.

What you’ll do

Set the vision for event marketing and experiences

Define and articulate a clear, forward-looking vision for how events drive business outcomes at SlalomEvolve the function from event execution to fully integrated event marketing tied to pipeline and growthEstablish Slalom as a leader in differentiated, high-impact client and partner experiencesElevate experience design and innovation

Lead the design of distinctive, memorable event experiences that differentiate Slalom in the marketPush beyond traditional formats to create experiences that deepen client engagement and accelerate relationshipsSet standards for what “premium” looks like, especiallyacross Tier 1 and flagship eventsOwn business impact and pipeline alignment

Partner closely with sales, partner, and industry leaders to align events to pipeline goals and account prioritiesEnsure events are designed and executed as demand generation and relationship acceleration motionsDefine and operationalize clear success metrics, including pipeline contribution, engagement, and ROILead and evolve the events team

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team across event marketing, execution, and enablementCreate clarity of roles across strategy, experience design, and executionBuild a culture of accountability, creativity, and continuous improvementDrive executive and cross-functional influence

Operate as a senior leader and thought partner to marketing and business leadershipFacilitate strategic planning conversations with senior stakeholders across regions and functionsEnsure alignment between events, campaigns, brand, and GTM prioritiesScale through systems, tools, and enablement

Partner with enablement and operations to scale best practices, tools, and processes globallyEnsure consistency and quality across regions while enabling flexibility for local market needsAdvance event technology and data capabilities to improve efficiency and insightWhat you’ll bring

10+ years of proven experience leading event marketing or experiential marketing at a strategic level, not just executionDemonstrated ability to design and deliver differentiated, high-impact customer experiencesStrong commercial acumen, with experience tying events to pipeline, revenue, and business outcomesB2B marketing experience,specificallyin professional services, consulting, or technologywith partner co-sell motionspreferredExecutive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholdersTrack record of setting vision and leading teams through transformationAbility to balance strategic leadership with hands-on guidance in a fast-paced environmentAbout Us

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: 

Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, etc.: $153,000-$185,000

Seattle, Washington D.C., Boston: $167,000-$200,000

San Francisco: $182,000-$208,000 

In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
