The Director of Events will brin expertise, vision and creativity to a year-long calendar of events (virtual and in-person), including signature events of more than 1,000 attendees. • Manage staff participation in event planning and staffing efforts. • Commitment to ensuring all aspects of the event, from logistics to guest experience, are executed flawlessly. To be successful in this role, an individual should meet these minimum education and experience requirements: • Associate's degree or higher • 5 years' experience in planning, managing and executing a wide range of events, including large scale to smaller meetings • Ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously from a variety of staff and departments • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills • Exceptional time management skills and the flexibility to work outside normal business hours • Must be proactive and show a great level of creativity in carrying out assigned duties • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software applications • Working knowledge of CRM software and virtual event platforms (Zoom, Teams) • Membership or engagement with professional events organization(s) is preferred • Ability to handle, set up, and adjust event-related equipment, such as audiovisual devices, registration materials, or promotional displays.
