The Director of Event Services provides program management expertise, support and service in connection with the coordination and implementation of the comprehensive special event program to benefit Childhelp; serves as the primary representative and (or) resource for assigned events. Manages and oversees all aspects of small to mid-size, moderately complex Special Events to ensure all steps are executed on time and within budget to include: • Manages project budget, timelines, and strategies • Manages scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing and external vendors, and contractual deliverables • Develops project plan, leads project team, and facilitates completion of tasks according to timelines • Prepares report for upper management and Event Chairs regarding status • Researches and recommends event venues negotiating contracts • Coordinates and negotiates contracts for logistics such as transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology • Works with Graphic Design team to develop event collateral materials and even deliverables • Manages production and logistics to include onsite presence and support at events • Ensures appropriate support/deliverables are provided to corporate partners and sponsors • Minimum of two years’ experience in event management • Working knowledge of show flow, agendas, and event timeline management Abilities • Ability to work with and influence vendors/partners, and other stakeholders • Ability to attend to details as well as focus on the larger goals • Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment and comply with continuous and multiple deadlines and evolving priorities with limited supervision • Ability to work collaborative as part of a team Preferences • Non-profit experience • Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM experience
