The Tulsa Regional Chamber is a leading business organization dedicated to driving economic growth, fostering community development, and supporting local businesses in the Tulsa region. Serving as a pivotal linkage between businesses and community stakeholders, the Chamber offers a wide range of programs, networking opportunities, and advocacy initiatives designed to promote a thriving regional economy. The Director of Events will play a crucial role in enhancing member engagement by delivering high-quality, well-organized events that align with the Chamber's strategic vision and objectives. This role will also be responsible for providing expert logistical guidance to other departments on special meetings and events, maintaining the Chamber-wide master event calendar, and managing sponsorship fulfillment to achieve optimal results. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in a related field • At least five years of relevant work experience in event planning • Strong verbal and written communication skills displaying high levels of tact and diplomacy • Strong financial acumen and the ability to develop and manage budgets • Ability to translate client needs into event deliverables • Commitment to high-quality service with a collaborative cooperative approach • Organizational analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities while flawlessly executing projects in a fast-paced often pressured environment
