Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Events to join our team. Responsibilities: - Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of events, including conferences, meetings, weddings, and social gatherings - Collaborate with clients to understand their event objectives and develop customized event plans - Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions - Manage event budgets and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders - Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, catering arrangements, audiovisual equipment setup - Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events - Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote events and attract attendees - Conduct post-event evaluations to measure success and identify areas for improvement - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in event planning Skills: - Extensive experience in event planning within the hospitality industry - Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable contracts with vendors - Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously - Proficient in budgeting and financial management for events - Knowledge of marketing principles to effectively promote events - Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work with clients, vendors, and internal teams - Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality events Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred) - Proven experience as an Event Manager or similar role - Opentable Experience (preferred) - Proficient in Tripleseat and Microsoft Office Suite
