The Director of Events will be responsible for all aspects of department management for Events’ lead generation within multiple locations for the BORO Group in Houston, El Paso, Albuquerque, Kansas City and Central Missouri. This position will be required to split time between each of the offices and those respective fields supporting a growing team who are working in the field generating appointments at Retail, RSVP, Home Shows and Events. • Interview, hire, train and manage a team of managers for the events, retail, home show and RSVP department • Manage to key performance metrics • Create weekly and monthly plans which include performance goals, including a set rate of 45% - 55% • Pull and analyze data from key performance reports in our customer relationship management tool • Conduct individual and group training sessions along with team leaders utilizing established methodologies • Visit markets regularly • Motivate and coach on specific methodologies and performance criteria • Assist with new hire training classes as needed • Drive department growth and profit including a Cost of Marketing Percentage of 12%-15% Experience in sales or lead generation or event marketing required • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to motivate, listen and lead • Flexibility and demonstrated ability to adapt well in a changing environment • Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a team environment • Able to conduct research, work under tight deadlines, develop and organize information • Ability to work with different departments for collective success • Ability to utilize proven methodologies used and train those to the team verbatim • Physically able to withstand working outdoors in heat and other weather conditions • Ability to motivate and lead diverse team • Experienced using computers and adaptable to a variety of technology • Ability to travel up to eight nights a month, as needed to support markets $100 Phone Allowance and $300 Car Allowance • Full Benefits; medical, dental available immediately and 401k after one year, offer letter from HR will detail benefits and PTO • Compensation is base pay + performance bonuses.
