Director of Events and Outreach

The volunteer core work in a variety of capacities across the gardens and are instrumental members of the Botanica Team. The Director of Events and Outreach will be a strategic thought-partner with the ability to take a hands-on approach to all events and oversee a team of staff and volunteers. • Serve as the lead event manager of Illuminations, Wichita’s Premier Light Display. • Ability to effectively plan, organize and provide instructions for the work of others. • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, vendors, community organizations, and the public.
