Director of Marketing and Events

Cripple Creek is designated as a National Historic Landmark, and in 2017, was voted one of Trip Advisor’s “20 Best Summer Vacation Ideas.” The Marketing and Events Department, through the direction of this position, is responsible for the successful marketing of the City, all tourism related activities within town, and all aspects of producing and executing events owned by the City or those where the City has a significant share in the event. The successful candidate will be expected to work with other City departments and community stakeholders to bring the best events to the City as well as attract visitors through a robust marketing campaign for current City attractions. direction to others; the ability to meet time demands while executing events; and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and foster positive relationships between different organizations, entities and the public.
