Director of Remote Event Planning & Logistics

Our client is seeking a visionary and exceptionally organized Director of Remote Event Planning & Logistics to spearhead their innovative virtual event initiatives. This critical role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for creating impactful and seamless digital experiences. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies for all virtual events, managing budgets, coordinating with a distributed team of event planners and technical support staff, and ensuring client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of event technology platforms, virtual engagement strategies, and the unique challenges and opportunities presented by remote events. Key responsibilities include: conceptualizing and designing innovative virtual event formats, overseeing the planning and execution of all aspects of virtual events (from registration to post-event analysis), managing vendor relationships (including AV, platform providers, and entertainment), and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures. You will also be instrumental in driving continuous improvement through data analysis and client feedback. A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in event planning, with at least 3 years specifically focused on virtual or hybrid events, is required. Proven experience managing large-scale virtual conferences, webinars, and other online gatherings is essential. Strong leadership and team management skills are critical, as you will be guiding a remote team. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are a must. Proficiency in event management software and a strong understanding of digital marketing principles are also important. This role is based in Kansas City, Missouri, US , but is a fully remote position, offering significant flexibility. You will be at the forefront of shaping our client's strategy for engaging audiences in the digital space.
