The Director of Special Events is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of all special events hosted by MUST Ministries. Considering MUST’s full portfolio of special events, take a strategic approach to event execution, ensuring events have maximum impact and the greatest ROI possible Plan, develop, and execute all MUST Ministries events from concept through completionLead the Event Coordinator, providing support as they manage auction-related duties and other logistical responsibilities, as assigned· As related to events, lead MUST Board of Directors and Leadership Team engagement and communication BA/BS in a related field with 5-7 years of proven experience in nonprofit event planningStrong leadership and team management skills, including experience supervising staff and volunteersAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environmentKnowledge of event and auction planning platformsExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsFinancial acumen, including the ability to develop budgets, track expenses, and analyze ROI and profitabilityWillingness to work occasional nights and weekends as required by event schedulesAbility to lift 20–25 pounds as neededAbility to stand and be on your feet for extended periods during eventsFlexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to challenges This position requires both office-based work and on-site event execution.
