Cutting Edge Entertainment is looking for a detail-oriented, energetic, and organized Operations Manager to help us deliver top-tier DJ, Photo Booth, Karaoke, and Lighting services for weddings and other private events. We’ve been bringing the party since 1976 (and yes, we’ve been rocking it since vinyl records were a thing!). We operate out of our conveniently located office near the San Antonio Airport — so no excuses for being late, okay?

The Role: What You'll Be Doing

As our Operations Manager, you’ll be the backbone of every event we do — making sure our music libraries are epic, our DJ gear is in top shape, and every event runs smoothly. If you love keeping things organized, solving problems, and helping create unforgettable moments, this role is for you!

Your Responsibilities:
• Event Prep & Execution: Ensure music libraries, equipment, and logistics are ready to deliver seamless events.
• On-Call Event Supervision: Be the go-to person during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and we match our clients' vibes.
• Client Communication: Work with clients leading up to their big day-your friendly charm goes a long way!
• Gear Management: Organize, maintain, and repair DJ, Lighting, and Karaoke equipment to keep performances flawless.
• Company Vehicles: Oversee maintenance, fueling, and cleaning of our two vehicles-think of it as DJ gear on wheels.
• Sales & Office Support: Assist with sales calls, office tasks, and occasional errands.
• Be A Backup DJ: We'll also train you to become a Wedding DJ yourself so you can do an occasional event yourself, fill in when needed, and coach our amazing DJ team!

The Perfect Candidate:
• You’re a super-organized, detail-oriented, problem-solving machine who can juggle multiple events without breaking a sweat.
• You have previous experience in event operations, hospitality, logistics, or entertainment (bonus points for experience with sound and AV equipment, but we'll train the right person!)
• You're tech-savvy and comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Calendar, and task management apps.
• You love creating seamless experiences for clients and have strong communication and customer service skills.
• You're comfortable working weekends and evenings, understanding that the best events happen outside of 9-5.

What We Offer:
• Starting salary: $45k/year, increase to $50k in 4 months
• Potential for tips when you DJ events
• 6 paid holidays per year and earned PTO
• Schedule: 40-45 hours per week, typically four 7.5-hour weekday shifts + a 10-hour Saturday shift (Tuesdays and most Sundays off). Flexibility for evening events is key.
