Plan and execute a variety of events and special projects for the University of Arkansas, including but not limited to campus events, conferences, workshops, and ceremonies.
Collaborate with various departments and organizations to ensure successful coordination and execution of events and projects.
Develop and maintain event budgets, timelines, and project plans to ensure all events and projects are completed within established parameters.
Utilize creative thinking and innovative ideas to enhance the quality and impact of events and projects.
Coordinate all logistical aspects of events and projects, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual equipment, and transportation.
Communicate and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best rates and services for events and projects.
Work closely with marketing and communications teams to promote events and projects through various channels.
Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and insurance are acquired for events and projects.
Oversee event staff and volunteers, providing direction and support as needed.
Conduct post-event evaluations and provide recommendations for future events and projects.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to events and projects, including budgets, contracts, and attendance lists.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to event planning.
Uphold University policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, in all event and project planning activities.
Handle any issues or challenges that may arise during events and projects in a calm and efficient manner.
Represent the University of Arkansas in a professional and positive manner at all times.
