Event Barista (Part-Time, Kansas City)

Phase 2 Coffee Co. is a premium coffee cart company serving high-caliber events around Kansas City: weddings, corporate events and concert experiences. We run things detailed and hardworking, and we're looking for part-time event baristas who want that.

Pay

$18/hr for all time worked: setup, teardown, loading and unloading, and travel between our warehouse and the event.
Training: $15-17/hr for your first 3-4 shifts, then $18/hr once you're accepted past training.
You keep 100% of client gratuity.
Guaranteed $125 minimum per event shift, wages and gratuity combined. If your wages plus gratuity come to less than $125, we pay the difference.
Example: a 2-hour shift is $36 in wages. If you receive $100 in gratuity, you take home $136.

Schedule

Flexible schedule: weekday mornings and weekends.

About the job

You'll make and serve specialty coffee drinks at events, set up and break down the cart, and give guests a great experience. We serve some of the area's top companies on strict timelines, so you need to stay calm and perform under stress.

What we're looking for

You love serving people and take pride in being excellent at your role.
You work hard and perform well under pressure.
Able to lift 60 lbs and stay on your feet for several hours.
Live in the Kansas City metro (Overland Park, Olathe, etc.).
Reliable transportation.
Barista or coffee experience is a plus, but not required. We'll train the right person.
